My name is Corry ann Thompson. I have worked for LISD at Highland Village Elementary since 2004. I graduated from TX Woman's University with an Bachelors degree in Science. I hold a teaching certificate for grades 1-8, including a specialization in mathematics. I have been teaching primarily science, but usually in conjunction with either social studies or mathematics. My family consists of my husband, two daughters, and three cats. Both daughters have attended Marcus, while my oldest is now pursuing NURSING at TWU this fall.

I believe that each student has a voice and wants to feel inspired in what he/she is doing. I am invested in bringing authentic experiences to students and in providing real-experiences that students can relate to for genuine learning opportunities. I provide structured learning in a flexible learning environment.

Each student learns in different ways and styles, so it is my goal to reach each student's needs in these ways.

I will be your child's Math teacher this year! I am looking forward to being a part of your child's life, and if you ever have questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me. Communication is so important to promoting a good relationship between us!

One thing that I really want your child to know is that it is ok to take risks and to feel comfortable in my classroom with trying new things ~ that making mistakes is sometimes the best way to learn. :)

I am looking forward to an awesome year with your child!!
